Scarecrow Festival Highlander 10-2-10

SCORESHEET

Matt Tripp was the only lightweight competing and turned in a solid preformance all day.

Jeremy Gillingham came from Indiana and also competed alone in the heavyweights. Jeremy had a huge 22# pound Braemar at over 39 feet and was one of the only athletes to turn the caber with an 11:50 and 11:55 turn.

The middleweight divison was the most contested division with first and second being decided by 1/2 of a point between Andrew Durniat and Jake Webb. Jake and Andrew were close all day with one second difference on the keg load a one second difference in the farmers walk and a tie in the deadlift. Brent Barbe also put in a solid preformance coming in third with first time competitors Mike Risher and Mike Snider rounding out the class.

The Masters class saw the german giant Mark Meyerhoff take it with four first places out of six events. Big Bill Gordon also was solid all day with four second places a first and a third putting him in second. The third place spot was taken by the ageless 50 plus grandpa John Tracy who kept everyone in a great mood with his humor and enthusiasm. First time highlander Mike Snider from Ohio rounded out the class in fourth place.

Again all the athletes were great despite the weather and I appreciate their effort in making my comp. another success. Thanks everyone hope to see you all again next year.
